Black Strap is a slightly different design: nickel plated hardware with a 1" wide tail piece. Add a note to your order if you want black.

The Workhorse is our standard heavy duty strap and is a favorite or heavier guitars, like electrics and basses, but is also perfectly suited for the acoustic player who wants a high quality, high durability strap. It is made from a single layer of drum-dyed, 8-9 oz vegetable tanned leather that has been through a post-tanning oiling process to add some flexibility. All the edges are beveled and burnished by hand. The strap is then finished with our custom blend of 100% natural Jojoba Oil and Carnauba wax to condition and seal it. Finally the strap is buffed for a mellow shine.  This leather is very strong- it will give you a lifetime of wear...even if you use it hard and put it away wet.

Adjustment is made with the signature Wrought Iron Leather copper ring adjuster: Pull some slack through the rings then  slide it through- away from the rings to shorten the strap or toward the rings to lengthen it.  Unlike the perma-lock design used on many leather straps, this adjustment does not require you to disassemble the strap. If you need a longer or shorter strap than our standard length, just shoot us an email!

The Workhorse includes our standard pickholder brandpatch with the embossed Wrought Iron Leather logo.  Located 6" from the button hole, the patch serves as a convenient place to stash a pick near the guitar body while you're playing.
(If you prefer a sleeker look, we can eliminate the patch upon request and emboss the logo directly onto the strap body)
